High Temperature Tapes

Lynx Specialty Tapes offers a complete line of tapes that are both heat resistant and have high temperature operating ranges for various applications.

DOUBLE-COATED FILMS:  

LX-162: Double-coated polyester film coated both sides with an aggressive, high temperature, permanent rubber base adhesive system. This product was designed for bonding to urethane foam, closed cell sponge rubber, polyethylene foam, felt and a wide range of bonding applications including plastics and metals. Operating temperature range of room temperature to +195 degrees F.
LX-166: Double-coated polyester with a transparent polyolefin release liner. Features a premium acrylic adhesive system which offers secure bonding at elevated temperatures along with excellent resistance to solvents, chemicals, and ultraviolet light. Recommended for bonding of ABS plastics, glass, rubber, EPDM and PVC. Operating temperature range of -10 degrees F. to +360 degrees F.
LX-216: Double-coated polyester coated both sides with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive system. This product is designed to bond to silicone substrates as well as other difficult to bond surfaces. It features excellent quick stick and shear resistance. Commonly use to bond silicone foams, and gaskets, splicing of silicone paper or film, high and low temperature gasketing and general-purpose bonding. Operating temperature range of -20 degrees F. to +400 degrees F.
LX-218: Double-coated polyester coated on the unwind (air side) with a silicone adhesive and on the liner side with an acrylic adhesive. Product is designed to bond to silicone substrates as well as other difficult bond surfaces. The high-tack acrylic adhesive bonds to a variety of plastics, glass and metal substrates. Commonly used to bond to silicone foams and gaskets, splicing of silicone paper or film, high and low temperature gasketing and general-purpose bonding. Operating temperature of -20 degrees F. to +350 degrees F.

SINGLE-COATED FILMS:  

LX-237: Single-coated, self-wound polyester film with a modified silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Has excellent conformability, superior adhesion and removes cleanly after processing. Operating temperature range of -22 degrees F. to + 266 degrees F.
LX-237-A: A 3.0 mil single-coated, self-wound blue polyester film with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. Commonly used for splicing of all pressure sensitive adhesive coated tapes and labels for sublimation. Operating temperature range of -22 degrees F. to +266 degrees F.
LX-237-B:

A 3.3 mil single coated, self wound green polyester with a silicone pressure sensitive adhesive system.  Recommended for operating temperature of up to 400 degrees F.
